Thomas Zenkl

I am a post-doctoral researcher at the intersection of the sociology of technology, STS, and critical AI/algorithm studies. In my research, I examine how automated decision-making and algorithmic sociality reshape knowledge orders and sociotechnical relations and am particularly interested in algorithmic resistance.

I am currently based in Graz and affiliated with the Digital Societies Research Group, the GraSP Futures Studio, and the Research Network Human Factor in Digital Transformation (HFDT) at the of University of Graz. I am also a board member of the WG10 "Digital Society" in the International Sociological Association (ISA)
